!!IMPORTANT!!
Please read these rules before you do anything on this site! They aren't long and are quite simple, so it would be nice if you took a couple minutes to read them over.
Any rules with **<< after it means that they apply mostly to group roleplays. These rules can be negotiated between roleplayers in one on ones and aren't enforced.
1.) All general roleplaying rules apply
Don't control another person's character. This is a very simple rule, but can span out to even NPC's. Unless another roleplayer says you may, stick to controlling your own character. **<< I don't want to be very picky with the "Literacy Level." I would normally say that the level should be Semi-Literate and above, but to keep it simple I'd appreciate it if you had decent grammer, spelling, and sentence structure. Not everybody is an amazing writer (I most certainly am not), but I'm pretty sure that others wouldn't want to roleplay with someone who cannot type a legible post. **<< "Perfect" characters are preferred to be avoided. Now, the line between a perfect character and one who is strong/gifted/etc. may be blurry depending on which roleplay you decide to join, so it might be possible that you would have to contact the creator of the roleplay if you need a clarification (if one isn't already stated in the roleplay guidelines). Otherwise, a "perfect character" can also be known as a generic Mary Sue or Gary Stu. Any other rules I might've missed or didn't feel like putting up. If any should be here, don't be afraid to post here.
2.) Please submit an application form before posting anywhere else! It's a very short process and most certainly is not hard. Even after submitting, please wait to be approved before you can even shout out a hello. I know this sounds strict, but it's merely a simple process that I'm sure you'd like to get out of the way.
3.) When posting, it's appreciated that you try to avoid one-liners and, you know, add some meat to those bones. This rule isn't a very harsh one since I know as well as any other experienced roleplayer that there will be times when it would be hard to post any more than one or two sentences, but not every single one of your posts should be "He smiled and nodded in reply." To tie in with this rule, all roleplay posts should be in paragraph form, not script form (unless otherwise stated by the roleplay creator). Also, no chat speak while in character. **<<
4.) Be nice and courteous to other people. I'm sure that any disputes that pop up can be compromised without a fight, but if you get into any arguments with others that will only continue to escalate, please settle it over either the messengers or PMs. I don't want to see any shouting matches infecting the OoC boards. If it gets to the point that a staff member needs to be involved, don't be afraid to message one. To tie along with this rule, any senseless harrassing of other members will not be tolerated whatsoever.
5.) Spamming is reserved for the spam boards. The in-character roleplay boards are solely for roleplaying, and other boards outside of roleplay (Roleplay Discussion, Self Expression, etc.) are for their own purpose. Likewise, urges for spamming goes to its own special board, Spam Land.
There will be consequences for the breaking of any of these rules. First offense will result in a warning, second will be a banning for a certain amount of time (depending on which rule is broken), and third will be permanent banning. Don't say you didn't know you weren't suppose to do something if it's stated in these rules, it would only irritate myself and the staff further.
